Z-Fense - 1200F
Toss Up |
Our team focus was to win, and
learn about teamwork and engineering in the process. In each tournament we participated in, we paired with the our sister teams from the club. We also joined with other teams off the field too, helping to improve our robots, the autonomous, and driving together. From the competitions and from working many hours on our robot and driving, we learned a lot about engineering efficiency and improving on our personal skills.
This season we won 10 awards.
We don’t have future plans in VEX because this is our last year since we are seniors and graduating this year. |

1200F starts on the blue side middle tile in the first and third matches. 1st Match - 1200 and 400X take an early lead and hold, 185A's drive burns out and 1200F attempts to solo the match. 1200 and 400X are able to hold the towers and win the match. 2nd Match - Blue wins autonomous and a fight for the towers begins. Blue is able to take control of the towers using their speed and teammwork, winning the match with autonomous being the deciding factor. 3rd Match - 1200F surprises everyone when they counter 1200's block autonomous and prevents 400X from scoring in the tower. Seconds into the match they lose their ability to intake leaving 185A as only robot on the alliance able to effectively score. A mad race to fill the towers and launch the large balls begins, with 1200F holding a tower to prevent it from getting scored. Both sides attempt to hang and fail. Red wins by one point, 27 to 26. 1200F becomes Finalists of the Innovate Division. |

The goal of this team was to make a fast scoring robot with several unique qualities. These qualities include a pulley system lift and turntables allowing the intake to flip from picking up to scoring on the high goal without lifting the full thirty inches via a piece of string tugging on the back of the hopper rotating the turntables.
