Mainframe Meltdown - 1200B
Toss Up |
This year 1200B was a small team with only 4 members. We focused on efficiency, while also using original ideas to construct the robot. The robot evolved throughout the season to focus more on overall performance. We learned many things during this season, relating to building, designing, strategy, and communication with other teams. Overall we went to 6 tournaments, including state, and plan on going to worlds. Out of the tournaments we were semi-finalists 3 times, finalists 2 times, and champions once. Our plans for next year so far are to increase the teams size, strategize more, and to hopefully win more tournaments.

Sack Attack |
We knew we wanted an efficient robot to handle sacks quickly
The best way we thought to achieve this was using a shovel bot that dumped the sacks into the trough We wanted to be able to score very quickly Awards: 2nd Place Robot Skills – US Nationals 5x Tournament Champions 1x Tournament Finalists 5x Robot Skills Champions 1x Excellence Award 1x Amaze Award |
Gateway |
The team wanted to perform well in tournaments and gain more knowledge of competitive robotics
We went with the most prevalent design (NZ) the entire year This allowed us to be capable scorers and an efficient bot Awards: Support Award – VEX World Championship 2x Tournament Champions 2x Tournament Finalists 1x Design Award 1x Judges award 1x Amaze Award |
