Z-Ballers

"This year we were an all freshmen team made up of 5 members. We decided to build a simple shovel bot that would help us learn about designing, building, programing, driving and participating in tournaments.
Our primary strategy this year was defense and we did it well. Our large shovel could help as block a goal and our six motor speed drive would also us to move between the goals quickly. Our large shovel could pick up big balls as well as buckyballs. We included a pneumatic launcher which could launch the big balls across the field, depending on what side we were on. We could cap as well as score two buckyballs at a time. We had 5 different autonomi, ranging from 6-12 points with a possible big ball descore. We learned a lot through this competition and can't wait for next year." |
